Ingredients
1 cup fresh green or Opal Basil leaves, cleaned as directed
2 oz. roasted pine nuts
1/2 cup virgin olive oil
1 or more minced garlic cloves
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
Use freshly picked basil leaves. If possible, wipe the leaves clean without wetting them.
Remove the leaves from the stem, and place them in a blender or food processor with the remaining ingredients.
Puree ingredients until smooth.
Best served over hot pasta.
