Scott's Famous Pesto

1 Cup




  • 1 cup fresh green or Opal Basil leaves, cleaned as directed

  • 2 oz. roasted pine nuts

  • 1/2 cup virgin olive oil

  • 1 or more minced garlic cloves

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt & Pepper to taste


  1. Use freshly picked basil leaves. If possible, wipe the leaves clean without wetting them.

  2. Remove the leaves from the stem, and place them in a blender or food processor with the remaining ingredients.

  3. Puree ingredients until smooth.

Best served over hot pasta.
